Exciting, unique, unusual and a real tearjerker. Be prepared to read this book from start to finish in one sitting. I couldn't put it down. The plot is outstanding. One cannot second guess what happens to these characters. Bette Lee Crosby has written another award winning story.

A Year of Extraordinary Moments

A Year of Extraordinary Moments (A Magnolia Grove Novel #2)A Year of Extraordinary Moments by Bette Lee Crosby

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the sequel to The Summer of New Beginnings. It is just as great as the first in the series. The plot is well written and although it is done in several voices, one does not get lost. A feel good story in the end. The characters are believable and one falls in love with them. There is mystery and surprises. I highly recommend it.

Previously Loved Treasures

Previously Loved Treasures (Serendipity, #2)Previously Loved Treasures by Bette Lee Crosby

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is an excellent story about family, especially how people that aren't related by blood become family. The plot has mystery, romance of sorts, and crime. It is written in different voices, but is easy to follow. There is a uniqueness to the novel with a touch of the paranormal. Well written as usual. This is Bette Lee Crosby's voice at her finest.

A Summer of New Beginnings by Bette Lee Crosby

The Summer of New Beginnings: A Magnolia Grove NovelThe Summer of New Beginnings: A Magnolia Grove Novel by Bette Lee Crosby

The Summer of New Beginnings is Bette Lee Crosby's best work so far. The story is real, highly believable, and grabs you from the moment you begin reading and doesn't let go of the hold the words have on you long after you are finished reading. it. The plot is unique. It has sadness, joy, romance, and surprises all through the book. One needs tissues and don't start it like I did with plans to read a few pages, because you can't put it down. You will want to read it straight thru. This is a five star read in my estimation. I know that it will be in yours.

Blueberry Hill

Another book by Bette Lee Crosby that I read just today in one sitting. I rated it as five stars.
Here is my review:

This is a tear jerker.  Do not read without several boxes of tissues.  As usual Bette Lee Crosby writes a book that is honest, heart-warming, happy, yet sad, and one I couldn't put down.  I actually wished I had a sister, even if it was one like Donna, who wasn't a bad person; just one who was full of life.  Donna had no fear, and I think, some of that lack of fear, in the end, rubbed off on her sister.  One can definitely see the life lessons the author wishes to share with the reader.  Thank you, Bette Lee Crosby for sharing with us this story.

Time to Blog Again

I have decided to update my blog and start using it.  Been doing a lot of reading and have come across a bunch of new favorite authors besides my original favorites of Nicholas Sparks and Nelson DeMille.

Here is my list in no particular order:

Toby Neal

Christine Nolfi

Bette Lee Crosby

Mary Campisi

Kim Hornsby

Nely Cab

Julie Gilbert

I also have been reading the Lei Crime Series Kindle World.    These are fantastic and there are a bunch of other authors that one can discover.  Actually that was how I found Christine Nolfi.

Additionally, I found some of the authors from Face Book parties hosted by BookRhythm  There, one can discover additional details about the writers and their books, win free stuff, and learn a whole bunch of knowledge about the book world.

I am sure I left some authors out.  Try some of their books.  A few of them can be found at your local library or on Overdrive.  I hope you like at least a few of them.
