Wildflower Hope

Wildflower Hope (The Wildflower House #2)Wildflower Hope by Grace Greene

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Excellent sequel. Grace Greene has created a thoughtful novel of life filled with reflection, sadness, love and happiness. Sadness is a predominant theme, although love is abundant Does happiness override the sadness? One will have to read the book to find out. I wanted more from Wildflower Heart and that's what this story gives you. I still don't want the sequels to end.

The Road She Left Behind by Christine Nolfi

The Road She Left BehindThe Road She Left Behind by Christine Nolfi

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Christine Nolfi has written an engaging family story about love and betrayal. The characters are delightful, even the mean ones. They are real in how they act and think. The setting is very familiar and accurate, especially since I have been to all these spots. In places the book is humorous, sad, and fraught with angst. Once started, it is a page turner. I couldn't put it down and as usual, wished the book took you through birth to old age. I never want any of this authors books to end. It is a must read.

Only One Life by Ashley Farley

Only One Life: A NovelOnly One Life: A Novel by Ashley Farley

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Outstanding. Fantastic. Another hit by Ashley Farley. The plot is unique. Lots of angst. Some characters are lovable and others are downright disgusting. There is lots of sorrow. At times one wants to jump into the story and slap the s#@t out of the nasty ones and even at times, give a stern talking to the good ones. Thanks to this author on always giving the reader a different take on family life.

A Family Affair: The Proposal

A Family Affair: The Proposal (Truth in Lies Book 15)A Family Affair: The Proposal by Mary Campisi

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another Mary Campisi novel in her Family Affair series that is excellent. The plot is unique to her brand of storytelling. The characters are real and yet, not predictable. One could imagine coming from both types of families in the story, the rich and the not so rich, but the riches are defined differently. It isn't money that makes the one family rich. The power of love is what does it. While in a series, it truly could be considered a stand-a-lone novel. I recommend anything Mary Campisi writes.

Moody & the Ghost: Coming About

Moody & The Ghost - COMING ABOUT: Moody Humorous Mystery SeriesMoody & The Ghost - COMING ABOUT: Moody Humorous Mystery Series by Kim Hornsby

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Love, love, love this series. Once again, Kim Hornsby has captured the spirit (pun intended) of romance between a mortal and a ghost. Cannot wait until the next in the series comes out. This book is filled with plot twists that are unusual, mystery, laughter, romance, and strange, but real characters. Being the third in the series, it does not disappoint. I highly recommend this book and anything written by Kim Hornsby.

Going Home (ARC)

Going Home (Chandler Hill Inn Series Book 1)Going Home by Judith Keim

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Home - it means something different to many people. Judith Keim has captured the sense of home in this novel. Well written plot with mystery, romance, tragedy, friendship, and family. Once one picks the book up, one will not want to put it down. I didn't want it to end and can't wait until the second in the series comes out. I am positive that anyone that begins this novel, will want to read all of Ms. Keim's stories. Excellent read and I highly recommend it.

The Secret Ingredient by Nancy Naigle

The Secret IngredientThe Secret Ingredient by Nancy Naigle

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Really loved this book. It should be made into a Hallmark movie and come out at Valentine's Day. The characters are precious and delightful. One of the best ideas in this story or for any other is the addition of G.R.A.Y. He is quite precocious. You will have to read the novel to find out who and why he is. The plot is different and exciting. One can't wait to find out what happens next. Will Alex and Kelly repair the damage that one of them has done to the other? Will the secret ingredient mess up their contest? What is the contest about and who will win? Amazing story. One shouldn't miss it.

Nell and Lady

Nell and Lady: A NovelNell and Lady: A Novel by Ashley Farley

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ashley Farley has written an excellent book again about the life of a family. The family's composition is unusual, consisting of different races, and how they handle both grief and happiness. Time is a spread of thirty some odd years, through teen angst, marriage, divorce, and cancer. There are three generations involved in the plot and the story is told through each ones eyes in different chapters. The plot is unique in some ways and in others, what one might expect. Characters are believable, as are the situations they become involved in. If you want ordinary this isn't for you, but none of Ms. Farley's stories are ordinary.

The Season of Silver Linings by Christine Nolfi

The Season of Silver Linings (A Sweet Lake Novel Book 3)The Season of Silver Linings by Christine Nolfi

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Christine Nolfi is a master storyteller. Great story-line. This third book in the Sweet Lake series is well-written, enjoyable, hard to put down, a romance, mysteries, and of course the Sirens. One has to love the Sirens. I want to be one. I suggest one begins reading this in the morning as you cannot put it down. The reader has suspicions on what is going to happen, but there is also surprises along the way. This might be the best in the series, but hopefully there will be more down the line. I suggest one read all of Ms Nolfi's books. They are excellent reads.

A Summer of New Beginnings by Bette Lee Crosby

The Summer of New Beginnings: A Magnolia Grove NovelThe Summer of New Beginnings: A Magnolia Grove Novel by Bette Lee Crosby

The Summer of New Beginnings is Bette Lee Crosby's best work so far. The story is real, highly believable, and grabs you from the moment you begin reading and doesn't let go of the hold the words have on you long after you are finished reading. it. The plot is unique. It has sadness, joy, romance, and surprises all through the book. One needs tissues and don't start it like I did with plans to read a few pages, because you can't put it down. You will want to read it straight thru. This is a five star read in my estimation. I know that it will be in yours.

Liars Like Us by Mary Campisi

Liars Like Us (Reunion Gap Book 2)Liars Like Us by Mary Campisi

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is one of the best Mary Campisi's novels in my estimation. There is a bit of mystery and a whole lot of romance within the pages. While I wasn't too keen on the first book in this series, I loved this one. Charlotte and Tate are well developed characters with a realism that one appreciates from this author The plot is exciting and new. I found myself not being able to put it down until I finished it. I didn't even mind the fact that there are a couple of cliffhangers because the main story is neatly wrapped up. Oliver and Jennifer's relationship is one of the cliffhangers and who is the mystery father of the child. I think I know, but cannot be certain. This is a must read for all fans of Mary Campisi. "I voluntarily reviewed this ARC in exchange for an honest review."

Drawing Lessons by Patricia Sands Release Day is Oct. 1st

Drawing LessonsDrawing Lessons by Patricia Sands

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is my first book that I have read of Patricia Sands, although I connect with her through her newsletter and Facebook page. I needed tissues to get through the story. It isn't in the least bit depressing, but sad in parts and very hopeful in others. One can travel the area of France that the book is set in through the main character. You can smell the flowers and the food in reality, I swear. The descriptions are enlightening. The characters are real. The book is '"magnifique'" or would that be "tres magnifique"? One can't put it down. You will enjoy this novel.
