Going Home (ARC)

Going Home (Chandler Hill Inn Series Book 1)Going Home by Judith Keim

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Home - it means something different to many people. Judith Keim has captured the sense of home in this novel. Well written plot with mystery, romance, tragedy, friendship, and family. Once one picks the book up, one will not want to put it down. I didn't want it to end and can't wait until the second in the series comes out. I am positive that anyone that begins this novel, will want to read all of Ms. Keim's stories. Excellent read and I highly recommend it.

Home For Wounded Hearts

Home for Wounded HeartsHome for Wounded Hearts by Ashley Farley

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ashley Farley has created PERFECTION in a spin-off of her series, The Sweeney Sisters. It can be read as part of the series or as a stand-a-lone. There is romance in the continuing marriage of Mike and Faith, compassion, mystery, and love between friends. It has an excellent plot with well-developed characters. The characters' personalities are real, not the figment of an author's imagination. The only thing wrong with it is one does not want to think I can start this before I sleep, because at 4 a..m when you finish the book, you'll realize the time. While you are reading, you are engaged in the story and won't even think about putting it down. I highly recommend this story, plus all the others Ms. Farley has written.

Lovers Like Us by Mary Campisi

Lovers Like Us (Reunion Gap Book 3)Lovers Like Us by Mary Campisi

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this book as a gift. This being the third in a series of novels I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Sometimes series disappoint and don't keep true to the context, but this one doesn't. Mary Campisi takes the reader on a unique read. The story line is delightful; full of mystery, romance and just enough twists and turns to keep one interested. The author has also developed the previous characters in the earlier novels to become a more well rounded and even more realistic. There is a plot twist that you don't see coming. One must read to find out how these lovers make up part of the Donavan and Alexander families and create havoc within the family.

Tyler Neral - 3 years gone, but not forgotten.

I wish I was a genie in a bottle and could grant my family three wishes...One would be that Kaely didn't have hydrocephalus...she is such a lovely child...The second would be that Andy didn't have spina bifida and hydrocephalus...he is so smart and loving...and the third is that Tyler wouldn't have died by suicide...his death three years ago today has affected all of our immediate family, plus his friends, who are now adopted family and very important to all of us. Tyler was full of life and love. He cared so much about the state of the universe and wanted to protect us all from hurt. As he did in life, he does so in death - protects us all, walks beside us...I feel him here as I write this. I can't explain it. The crows in the sky appear when I am really sad. I am sure I will see them today...I love you still and forever, Tyler, as will all the people whose lives you have touched, even some you didn't know. Again, I wish I was that genie in a bottle and not just Jeanne, your grandmother.

I left my other grandchildren out seemingly, but they know, I hope, just how much I love and adore them.  I miss the ones far away, but that doesn't mean they are loved any less.
